Job description
We support recruitment activities for a US-based company that is a provider of mission-critical background screening solutions. They work with Fortune 100 clients helping them manage risk and hire the best talent. They opened a brand-new hub in Krakow and want to engage talented people who will work on a new platform. This role will provide you with an opportunity to work with a team who builds new features from scratch in a stable company with a long history of serving its clients.
We are looking for a Data Architect who will join the international team helping them set the technical vision for data modelling, data persistence and messaging structures within our applications building and designing data pipelines. In this role, your responsibility is to recommend and develop data persistence and access architectures that support secure, highly scalable, high-performance, reliable and maintainable data.

Recruitment process: 1. Call with Recruiter -> 2. Interview with Hiring Managers (1h) -> 3. Final meeting with the CTO (30 min.)
Responsibilities
- Working in internationally distributed technical teams located in the US, UK, Poland and APAC (but within Polish business hours)
- Managing end-to-end architecture and design of data infrastructure and models for large applications
- Assessing and recommending architectures, technologies and vendors, with an understanding of multiple options for architectures
- Building models and implementing best practices in collaboration with data scientists
- Recommending and developing data persistence and access architectures that support secure, highly scalable, high-performance, reliable and maintainable data
- Building and designing data pipelines
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in design, implementation of the data governance framework, data pipelines for large-scale near real-time data warehouse
- Expertise and familiarity with data modelling, and cloud big data technologies such as: AWS EMR/Kinesis/MS Azure Synapse
- Knowledge of and experience with 12 Factor Model
- Solid experience with Python/R/SQL/PLSQL/
- Experience with SQL, No-SQL Databases and Big Data solutions (Presto, etc)
- Experience in working with Data Migration Tools like ODI, Spark, etc.
- Experience with Containerized Technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
